Warranty Overview

Buying a new home is one of the largest investments you will ever make, which is why it’s important to ensure your home comes with protection. As a 2-10 Home Buyers Warranty (2-10 HBW) builder member, JNS Homes provides every home we build with 10 full years of structural home warranty protection from the nation’s leading home warranty company. With the purchase of your new home, you’ll receive a copy of the home warranty booklet and Certificate of Warranty that explain your coverage.

What's Covered?

The structural warranty provides coverage for workmanship, distribution systems and structural components. At a glance, your coverage includes*:

1

1 full year of surety coverage against defects in workmanship and materials. The workmanship warranty addresses the fit, finish and materials used in the construction of the home and provides protection against defects throughout the warranty term.

2

2 full years of distributions systems surety coverage. The distribution systems warranty provides protection against defects to the means by which electrical, plumbing and mechanical functions are delivered throughout the home during the warranty term.

10

10 full years of structural defect coverage for the major structural components of your home. It protects designated load-bearing elements of the home, including the foundation and footings, roof framing systems, load-bearing walls, columns, girders, lintels and more.

*As a homeowner, you can take full advantage of your structural warranty by creating your 2-10 HBW Homeowner Portal account at 2-10.com/homeowner. There, you can search your digital warranty booklet, download the 2-10 HBW Maintenance Manual, set up maintenance alerts, and purchase extended coverage for your major systems and appliances.
